How It Works

Tracking Progress on the Habits Screen

Each habit card displays your Progress Percentage, showing how close you are to completing your defined Target Days.

The tracking calendar uses color-coded symbols to represent your daily activity:

  • βœ… Green Check β€” You completed the habit that day.

  • βšͺ Blank Circle β€” No entry logged yet.

  • ❌ Red X β€” You missed the habit for that day.

You can click any day on the calendar to mark it complete, missed, or unlogged.
As you update your entries, Dumbify automatically recalculates your progress and updates the percentage bar.

Viewing Streaks and Formation Data

The Dashboard displays your Current Streak and % Formed for each active habit.

  • Current Streak increases with consecutive completions and resets when a day is missed.

  • % Formed represents your completion rate toward the Target Days you set (e.g., 14 of 28 days = 50% formed).

This gives you both short-term motivation (streak tracking) and long-term visibility (habit formation percentage).

Understanding Analytics

Dumbify habit analytics provide insight into your overall consistency:

  • Daily Completion Rate β€” The ratio of days completed versus total days tracked.

  • Streak Duration β€” The longest unbroken chain of completions.

  • Formation Percentage β€” Progress toward your Target Days goal.

These analytics update automatically as you log completions and are summarized on your Dashboard under Habits Overview.

Notes

  • Clicking a missed or blank day immediately updates your progress.

  • The % Formed metric is directly tied to your Target Days setting.

  • Extended analytics, reminder summaries, and trend visualizations are in development.
