Adjusting Notifications

The Notification Settings page allows you to manage how Dumbify alerts you about upcoming events, tasks, and goals. You can enable or disable email notifications, adjust your default reminder time, and choose which types of alerts you receive. Mobile push notifications will be available once the Dumbify mobile app is released.

How It Works

Notifications are managed under Settings → Notifications.
From this page, you can control all event, task, and goal reminders in one place.

Email Notifications
Toggle this on to receive alerts by email. Dumbify sends notifications based on your selected reminder time and chosen categories.

Push Notifications
Mobile push notifications are not yet available. The toggle is shown but marked “Coming Soon.”

Default Reminder Time
Choose how far in advance Dumbify should send reminders for your tasks and events. The time you select here becomes your system-wide default for all new entries.

Notification Types
You can customize which events trigger alerts:

  • Event Invites – When someone invites you to an event

  • Event Reminders – Before scheduled events

  • Event Changes – When an event you’re attending is updated

  • Task Reminders – For upcoming tasks

  • Task Completed – When a task is marked complete

  • Goal Updates and Reminders – For progress updates and milestones

Each type can be toggled on or off for email. Mobile toggles are placeholders for upcoming features.

After making adjustments, select Save Changes to apply them immediately.

Notes

  • All settings are saved to your account and persist across sessions.

  • Email notifications can be disabled entirely by turning off the global toggle.

  • The “Coming Soon” labels indicate mobile alerts that will activate when Dumbify’s mobile app launches.
